Canva Instructor-Led Training - Essential Work Skills

This introductory workforce development module targets entry-level trades workers in their first professional role, delivering three foundational soft skills — Communication, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, and Teamwork & Collaboration — through scenario-based learning grounded in adult learning theory.

Three coordinated deliverables were developed in Canva using a unified visual design system: a scenario-driven slide presentation, a scripted facilitator guide organized into Warm Up / Learn & Apply / Conclusion sections with in-person and virtual delivery guidance, and a learner workbook with fill-in activities, discussion prompts, and a personal commitment tool. Color selection across all three documents was guided by WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards to ensure readability and inclusivity across both print and screen formats.

Camtasia Instructional Video - Design a LinkedIn Banner in Canva

This piece showcases my ability to design and produce a polished instructional video using Camtasia, supported by narration developed in Audiate. I began by outlining the project using a storyboard, which is also available to view on this site.
In the development phase, I recorded and edited narration in Audiate before integrating it into Camtasia, where I aligned visuals to support clarity and pacing. I used zoom and pan, spotlight effects, and annotations to direct attention and reinforce key steps.

This storyboard was developed as part of the pre-production phase for a short instructional video tutorial. It outlines the scene-by-scene structure of an 11-slide lesson walking learners through creating a custom LinkedIn banner in Canva — from logging in and selecting a template to customizing the design and downloading the final product.
Each slide documents the on-screen media, developer production notes, and voiceover script, providing a clear blueprint for video production in Camtasia. This artifact demonstrates how storyboarding bridges content design and media production before recording begins.

Canva Job Aid - Hosting a Zoom Meeting

This one-page job aid was designed in Canva as a quick-reference guide for hosting a Zoom meeting. The content is organized around the full meeting lifecycle, from scheduling and setup to wrapping up and sharing recordings.
Visual design decisions were intentional: the blue and orange color palette mirrors Zoom's brand colors, reinforcing familiarity for the user. The layout is clean and uncluttered, with distinct sections and minimal text so the aid can be scanned quickly.

Needs Analysis - ILT Essential Workplace Skills

This needs analysis was developed as the foundational step of the ADDIE process for Built for Work, an instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training module designed for entry-level skilled trades workers. The document establishes the business case for soft skills training in the trades, defines the target audience, identifies subject matter experts, and outlines measurable success criteria across all four levels of evaluation. Learning objectives are written using Bloom's Taxonomy action verbs at the application and analysis levels, grounding the project in outcomes-based instructional design from the start. Deliverables outlined in this document — a slide presentation, facilitator guide, and learner workbook — were developed in Canva and reflect the design decisions and constraints identified during the analysis phase.
